WHERE ARE THE HANDWRITTEN LOVE LETTERS!?

I am actually asking this.
Where are the sweet handwritten love letters ??
Why dont people write love letters any more ? Why?
What, are they very time consuming to you nowadays?
They take a lot of time to reach the destined address?

And do i hear you asking these questions?
Really?

What about the butterflies in your tummy while you are waiting for it?
What about the immense blushing while you are reading it?
And what about the smell of that letter you just dont want to part with?

Okay i feel really old. In fact ancient while talking about this.!

Am i the only person in this very outrageous generation to love handwritten love letters?!  Am i?

Well, then call me old fashioned, but i am.

I am a sucker for romantic handwritten love letters. Or even sweet post it notes. Anything handwritten is so special to me.
My ex. boyfriend was such a romantic and used to write really big love letters to me. I used to adore those. And till date i have them. So what if we are no longer madly in love. They are sweet and remind me of the good days we had. :P

But i guess that trend is so passe' now. Its vintage now eh  *scoffs*.
Its 'old fashion' now to write a letter,  you see. Its time consuming , It wont reach in time, It's this and that and blah blah.... Agreed.

Why not just 'sms' the person.?!

Yes, why not.

Its faster after all. Yes, it is.
But trust me if you want to see your loved one smile, send a " lettre d'amour peu".
I have done it and there is nothing more precious than your loved ones smiling and treasuring your love letter. :)

Bring those times back. Bring back the time when it was a rage; when a Love Letter used to say so many unsaid things. When wife waits for her husband's letter and greedily devours it, after receiving it finally.
Bring that handwritten love letter craze back!

I am tired, Beloved,
of chafing my heart against the want of you; of squeezing it into little inkdrops, And posting it.~Amy Lowell, "The Letter"
What a lot we lost when we stopped writing letters.  You can't reread a phone call.  ~Liz Carpenter

The one good thing about not seeing you is that I can write you letters. ~Svetlana Alliluyeva

A Letter is a Joy of Earth -It is denied the Gods~Emily Dickinson, 1885

In an age like ours, which is not given to letter-writing, we forget what an important part it used to play in people's lives.  ~Anatole Broyard

There is only one situation i can think of in which men and women make an effort to read better than they usually do. [It is] when they are in love and reading a Love Letter.~ Mortimer Adler

Cute no?!
GOD, i really feel ancient as i am seconding whatever these really old people are saying!
But you have to agree That Love Letters are the most romantic thing ever!
So, today i urge you to write. Write to someone ! See and feel the magic of the small note.  It can be to anyone! That's the beauty of it !
Try it. Bring it back.

This one in blue paper is written by JFK to his mistress and the next in the burnt colour paper is by Anne Boleyn to Henry VIII

:')  they are so sweet. so special. I wish i could put some of my treasured 'vintage' Love Letters ( ahem, from different people !) here but unfortunately, i dont have any here. So, do something for me will you. Write a sweet ' I love you' note to your special one (yes, it can be to anyone!) and see how much they love it.

My gift to you.

xoxo
